Thinking about my next XLIM purchase and torn between the SQ Pro 2 (square form factor) and the standard Pro 3. Same price roughly. I work in an office and carry it in my shirt pocket a lot – is the SQ Pro 2 actually more pocketable or is that marketing speak?
The SQ format is genuinely more pocketable in a shirt or jeans pocket because of the wider, flatter shape – it doesn't dig in the way a longer device can. For shirt pockets specifically it's brilliant.
Performance-wise they're essentially the same kit using the same top-fill pods. The choice really does come down purely to form factor preference. Some people hate the feel of a square device in hand; others love it. If you can find one in a shop to hold, worth doing before you buy.
Had both. Use the SQ Pro 2 daily now specifically because of the shirt pocket thing. Genuinely more comfortable. The Pro 3 felt like it was always about to fall out. Just personal preference though.
That's exactly what I needed to know. Shirt pocket use clinches it for the SQ Pro 2 then. Ordered. Cheers both!
