I'm about to buy my first proper pod kit (been on disposables for about a year) and I've narrowed it down to either the XLIM Pro 3 or the XLIM 3 Ultra. Price difference at Vapestore is only about £7 right now. Is the 3 Ultra actually meaningfully better or should I just save the money and go for the Pro 3?
The 3 Ultra has an OLED touch screen and an adjustable airflow dial that the Pro 3 doesn't have. Both use exactly the same XLIM top-fill pods, same 30W output, same USB-C charging.
For a first kit I'd honestly say the Pro 3 is the smarter buy. The OLED screen is nice but you don't actually need it – the Pro 3's basic display tells you everything you need. The adjustable airflow on the 3 Ultra is great if you know exactly what draw you want, but as a new vaper you won't necessarily know what that is yet. Start with the Pro 3, learn what you like, upgrade later if you want more.
Agree with the above. Came from disposables myself and started with the Pro 3. It's genuinely all you need. The £7 is almost irrelevant but the Pro 3 is a cleaner, simpler starting point. Save the 3 Ultra for when you know what you're after.
That's really helpful, thanks. Going with the Pro 3 then. Makes sense to learn the basics first. Ordered – cheers!
