My XLIM Pro 2 pod has a very slight plasticky smell after about 4 days of use. The taste is still fine – maybe very slightly different to when it was new. Should I be worried or is this just normal coil break-in stuff?
A very slight smell in the early days of a pod is usually just the synthetic materials settling (the mesh, the plastic housing). As long as the taste itself is fine and not actually plasticky or burnt, it's probably nothing to worry about.
If the taste stays clean and the smell fades over the next day or so, all good. If you start to taste something odd or the smell gets stronger rather than fading, swap the pod – some pods are just slightly off from manufacturing.
It's day 6 now and the smell has completely gone and the taste is still great. So it was just the break-in. Glad I didn't throw the pod away! Thank you.
