I bought the VPrime expecting more vapour production than my old NeXLIM. But I feel like it's not that different – maybe even slightly less? I'm using 0.4 ohm pods at 20W. Am I missing something?
20W with the 0.4 ohm pod is a moderate MTL setting for the VPrime. The device is capable of 60W and really comes into its own at higher wattage with the 0.2 ohm pod. If you want the VPrime's full vapour potential, try the 0.2 ohm at 30-40W.
The VPrime at 20W/0.4 ohm will be similar in vapour production to a NeXLIM because you're using it at NeXLIM-level wattage. The VPrime's advantage is the headroom to go higher. If flavour and smooth MTL is your priority rather than clouds, the 0.4 at 20W is fine and actually the right choice for nic salts.
This was my experience too. Once I tried the 0.2 at 35W the difference from NeXLIM was obvious. But at 20W/0.4 it's still similar territory. The VPrime is more of a "when you want more" device rather than always being noticeably bigger than NeXLIM.
Tried 0.2 ohm at 30W – now I see what all the fuss is about. Completely different level. Will still keep the 0.4 for everyday and the 0.2 for when I want a bigger session. Cheers for the explanation.
