Pressed the button on my XLIM and it just flashed blue a few times and would not fire. Pod is in, was working earlier. What does the blue flashing actually mean and how do I get it going again?
Blue flashing on the XLIM is a status code rather than a fault, and it usually means one of three things. Most commonly it is the low-battery cutoff - the device flashes and stops firing before the cell runs fully flat to protect it, so pop it on charge for half an hour and it will come back. A run of flashes the moment you press can also be the 10-second cutoff (you have held the button too long) or a pod-connection issue - remove the pod, wipe the contacts dry, and reseat it. If it flashes and refuses even with a full charge and clean contacts, try a known-good pod to rule the pod out. Genuine pods seat and read far more reliably than some third-party ones, so a fresh genuine XLIM pod is a good test.
Mine does the blue flash when the battery is nearly out, catches me every time. Thirty minutes on charge and it fires fine again. Handy that it warns you rather than just dying.
Was the battery. Charged it and it is firing normally now. Good to know the flashing is it protecting itself rather than a fault. Thanks for laying out the codes.
