How long should the XLIM take to charge from flat, and how do I know when it is actually done? Mine has been on the cable a while and I cannot tell if it is full. Also it did not seem to charge at all last night which worried me. Any guidance appreciated.

From flat, an XLIM Pro 3 takes roughly 45 minutes over USB-C, and the smaller Go and SlimStick a bit less. While charging you will see a breathing or pulsing light (or a charging icon on the screen models); when it holds steady and then goes off, or the screen shows full, it is done. If it will not charge at all, the usual culprits in order are: a lint-blocked USB-C port (pick it out gently with a dry cocktail stick), a charge-only cheap cable (try a known good data cable and a different plug or laptop port), or dirty charging contacts. Avoid leaving it on charge unattended overnight - modern cells do not need it and it is better for battery health to top up during the day. If it still refuses after a clean cable and clear port, that is a warranty matter rather than user error.

Nine times out of ten a no-charge XLIM is the cable or the port full of pocket fluff. Swapped my dodgy cable and it charged first time. The pulsing light going solid is how I tell it is done.

It was fluff in the port, unbelievable how much came out. Charging perfectly now and I can see the light behaviour you mean. Thanks, saved me thinking it was broken.
