The XLIM Pro 3 lets you change the wattage and I have no idea what to set it to. Running the standard 1.2ohm pods with 20mg nic salt. Currently just left it where it came. What wattage gets the best flavour without burning through pods?
For the 1.2ohm XLIM pods with 20mg nic salts, somewhere in the 12 to 16W band is the sweet spot for most people - enough to give a warm, satisfying MTL hit without cooking the coil. Start at 12W and nudge it a watt at a time: too low and the flavour is muted and cool, too high and you get a hot, slightly burnt edge and the pod ages faster. To change it on the Pro 3, tap the fire button three times quickly to unlock the wattage adjustment, then use the plus and minus buttons. Note the XLIM Go and Go 2 are auto-wattage with no setting to change - they match the output to the pod for you. Whichever you run, salts at 20mg suit these tight 1.2ohm pods better than high-VG freebase, which struggles to wick in them.
13W is exactly where I landed after fiddling for a week. Tried it right up at 20W thinking more is better and just burnt pods. Low and steady wins with the 1.2ohm pods.
Set it to 13W and the difference is night and day, proper flavour now and not harsh. Did not even know about the three-click to unlock the watts. Cheers.
