Heading to Tenerife next month and planning to take my SlimStick. Any experience going through UK airport security with it? Any tips on packing it to avoid issues with the liquid in the pod?

The SlimStick itself is fine to take – it's a personal use vaping device with no separate liquid to declare above the 100ml limit. The pod contains well under 100ml.

Standard tips: keep it in your clear liquids bag for security, don't leave it in checked baggage (lithium batteries should travel in the cabin), and be prepared to show it to security if asked – it's instantly recognisable as a vape device.

Worth knowing: many airports and airlines ask you not to charge vape devices onboard. Fine to use in designated areas at the airport but obviously not on the plane itself.

Took mine through Gatwick and Glasgow last year with no issues at all. Just had it in my hand luggage with my other small electronics. Never been questioned about it. Common sense applies – don't vape in non-designated areas!

Brilliant, thank you both. Will put it in the clear liquids bag to be safe. Looking forward to Tenerife!
