My SlimStick pod has been leaking into my handbag – finding little puddles of liquid in the bottom of the bag. It's brand new, only had it a few days. Is this a faulty pod or is there something I should be doing differently?
A few possible causes for SlimStick leaking in a bag:
Pod fully sealed? Check the pod is properly snapped onto the device – it should click firmly. If there's any gap, liquid can seep out through the connection.
Carried on its side? The SlimStick is best kept upright when possible. On its side in a bag, gravity works against the pod seals.
Warm environment? A warm bag (especially in summer) can cause the liquid inside to expand slightly and push through seals.
Faulty pod? If it's genuinely leaking from the pod body itself and not the connection, it could be a faulty batch – swap it for a new pod and see if the issue continues.
I carry mine in a pencil case inside my bag which keeps it upright. That completely stopped the leaking I was getting. Small thing but makes a big difference.
It wasn't clicked in fully! I thought it was but when I tried again there was another click I'd missed. No leaking at all since I properly seated it. Feel a bit silly but glad it's fixed! Thanks.
