Hello everyone. I'm new to pod vaping and a bit confused about liquid choices. My local vape shop sells both 50/50 e-liquids and nic salts. I know nic salts were designed for pod kits but I'm not sure if I should avoid 50/50 liquids entirely. Which would you recommend for the XLIM Pro 3 with a 0.8 ohm pod?

Both 50/50 and nic salts work in the XLIM Pro 3 with a 0.8 ohm pod. The choice is mainly about your preference for the nicotine experience:

Nic salts (20mg): Smoother throat hit, quicker nicotine absorption, closer to cigarette satisfaction. Best for ex-smokers or those who need a satisfying nicotine experience with fewer draws.
50/50 (6-12mg freebase): Slightly harsher throat hit at same nic level, slower absorption, more throat sensation. Good if you prefer a more pronounced throat hit or want to use flavours from brands that only do freebase.

For someone coming from cigarettes: nic salts 20mg is almost always the better starting point. More satisfying per draw, less temptation to chain vape.

Was on cigarettes for over 20 years. Started on 20mg nic salts and it made the difference. If I'd started on 50/50 at low strength I'm not sure I'd have managed the switch. For someone who smoked, nic salts all the way.

Thank you both. Nic salts 20mg ordered. The "more satisfying per draw" argument is exactly what I need – I was worried I'd just chain vape constantly if the nicotine wasn't right. Happy Christmas everyone!
