Just got a NeXLIM and it has two modes. The manual mentions both but does not really say which one is the normal one to use. Boost sounds better until I found out it kills pods faster. Should I be running Eco all the time or is Boost the one I am missing out on?

Eco is the everyday one and it is the factory default for a reason. It fires one of the dual-mesh coils at a time, which gives you excellent flavour - the UniTech system still delivers significantly more intensity than a standard single-coil pod even with one coil active - and the pod life is extraordinary, documented at over 8,400 puffs on a 0.6ohm at Eco. Boost mode fires both coils at once and the flavour is warmer and more intense, which is genuinely impressive, but it roughly halves the pod lifespan because both sets of mesh are working hard simultaneously. Most users stay in Eco and never look back. The thing that wins people over is to run a pod or two in Eco first, then switch the same device and same pod to Boost and compare them side by side. Once you have felt the difference you can make an informed choice rather than guessing. The NeXLIM remembers your mode setting, so if you do prefer Boost you can run it permanently, or you can switch back and forth depending on the day. The option is genuinely there, but the recommendation from day one is Eco. Our Eco vs Boost guide has the full breakdown if you want to dive deeper.

I was convinced Boost was the real mode until I did exactly this - ran Eco for a week, then swapped a half-done pod to Boost for a day. Eco flavour is so good I went straight back and have not touched Boost since. The pod lasting forever won me over.

Okay that makes sense, so Eco is the intended daily one. I will try that first and see if I even feel the need to switch. Good to know Boost is an option rather than what I am doing wrong.
