Been on Elf Bars for about a year. Want to switch to something refillable - the cost savings alone would be massive. But I'm genuinely overwhelmed. XLIM Go Lite or Go 2 for a first proper kit? I vape around half a bar a day so fairly regularly. Budget is £30-35 for the kit.

For someone coming back to nicotine after 5 years: XLIM Go Lite, 1.2ohm pod, start on 10mg nic salt rather than 20mg. You've had no nicotine for 5 years so your tolerance will be very low - 20mg will make you feel sick. 10mg is plenty. Then reassess after a few weeks. The Go Lite is the simplest possible device, easy to put down when you want to.

Nobody mentions this for beginners: buy at least 2 pods with your first kit, not just the one it comes with. You'll go through the first one getting used to things, and having a spare means you're never stuck. Also budget for a few different flavour tester bottles - you'll quickly find what you like.
