Just moved to an XLIM Pro 3 from disposables and I feel a bit daft asking, but how do you actually turn it on and off? And is there a way to lock it so it does not fire in my pocket? It keeps buzzing away in my bag and draining. Coming from a disposable where there was nothing to press, so all new to me.
Brilliant, that is so simple. Clicked it off and popped it in my bag and no buzzing at all. Thank you, was starting to think mine was faulty.
Quick answer: five rapid presses of the fire button turns the device on, and five more turns it off. That five-click off is also your lock for pocket or bag carry - once it is off it will not fire no matter what presses against it, which stops the battery draining and any burning in your pocket. On the screen models (XLIM Pro 2, Pro 3, SQ Pro) the display lights up to confirm on, and goes dark when off. If you only want to stop the buttons while the screen stays on, the Pro 3 also has a key-lock in the menu, but for everyday carry the five-click off is all you need. If you ever find the buttons feel unresponsive, a genuine XLIM Pro 3Current price: £26.99 with a fresh pod fitted rules out a tired pod causing odd behaviour.
This was me two weeks ago haha. Five clicks on, five clicks off, you will do it without thinking within a few days. The pocket draining stops completely once you get in the habit of clicking it off. Best tip nobody tells beginners.
