The UK disposable vape ban — genuinely the best thing that happened to vaping?

Genuine question — would you have switched to a proper refillable without the ban pushing you? I switched from Lost Mary BM600 to the XLIM Go Lite and honestly don't know why I waited so long. Better flavour, massively cheaper, zero disposable waste. The ban forced my hand and I'm grateful for it.

100% the best thing that could have happened. The environmental angle alone — the amount of plastic and lithium battery waste from disposables was obscene. I switched about 3 months before the ban when I saw it coming. XLIM Pro 3 flavour vs a disposable isn't even a comparison.

Mixed feelings honestly. Great for people who were already vapers — we upgraded to better kit. But I've seen mates go back to cigarettes because they couldn't be bothered with refillables. The barrier to entry for complete beginners is higher now. The Go Lite helps but it's still not quite as idiot-proof as cracking open an Elf Bar was.

I think the industry needed the reset though Chris. The disposable market was a race to the bottom and attracting the wrong users. Refillable market is better quality, better regulated and gives the whole sector more legitimacy. Short term pain, long term gain for serious vapers.
