My XLIM started feeling really harsh even with the same liquid. Could that just be a burnt pod?

Yes, once the cotton taste starts it can feel sharp even if the liquid is fine.

A burnt or partially dry pod can feel harsh very quickly. If flavour has turned dry, peppery or cotton-like, replace the pod and check your liquid ratio. For XLIM pods, 50/50 liquid or nic salts are usually safer than thick high-VG shortfills.
