I would buy spares. It is annoying when the first pod burns and you have no backup.
Buying spare pods with a new kit is sensible. Pods are consumables, and having spares avoids being stuck if the supplied pod burns, leaks or does not suit your liquid. Match the exact pod family and resistance before ordering, especially if you are choosing between XLIM V3, EZ, NeXLIM or VPrime pods.
