I tried a very sweet liquid and my pod tasted dull after one day. Can liquid do that?

Yes, sweet dessert flavours seem to darken quickly in small pods.

Very sweet or dark liquids can coat the wick/coil quickly, muting flavour and shortening pod life. If you want longer pod life, use lighter 50/50 liquids and avoid chain vaping at higher power.
